Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Basic Principles and Recent Trends in Magnet Design
BME department will organize its 2nd seminar on 18th May 2016. The co-organizer of the event will be Bangladesh Biology Olympiad.
There will be two presentations in the event. The first talk will be delivered by Mr. Abdullah Al Amin, Graduate Research Assistant, Medical and Imaging Physics, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The title of his talk is “Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Basic Principles and Recent Trends in Magnet Design.” In this talk, he will cover basic MRI technology, and also his research work on how to eliminate the use of liquid helium to cool down the MgB2 based MRI coils, which is eventually a feat that would dramatically reduce the manufacturing and maintenance cost of MRI machines.
The title of the second talk is “Cells are not what you think!”. This will be delivered by Dr. Saumitra Chakravarty, Resident, BSMMU.
Many thanks to both of the speakers.
