BME Students Selected as finalists at the Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition 2019

Two teams of BME, BUET undergraduate students, “SIPO” and “CellRad”, were accepted to compete in the final round of the Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition, organized by the Center for Bioengineering Innovation and Design (CBID), Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), Johns Hopkins University (JHU), USA. They were among the top 30 teams of international students that were selected as finalists from a total of 138 applicants in the first round. The project “SIPO” members are Nusrat Binta Nizam (BME-15), Tohfatul Jinan (BME-15), Md. Latifur Rahman (EEE-15), and the project “CellRad” team member includes Anirban Chakraborty (BME-15). Both of the projects were selected in the Healthcare IT track. The final round of the design competition will be held on April 14, 2019, at the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus, Hodson Hall, Baltimore, Maryland (USA). The winning project will receive cash prizes of $4,000, $3,000 and $2,000 for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, respectively.
