Congratulations to Labiba Islam Salsabil and Abdur Rahman for earning the “Most Popular Photographer” and “Best Photographer” awards at Sci-Capture 2024, organized by the Sri Lankan Academy of Young Scientists (SLAYS).
Labiba Islam Salsabil, a final-year Biomedical Engineering student at BUET, received the Most Popular Photographer award for her microscopic image titled “Territorial Disparity,” which creatively connects an H&E-stained mouse skin sample with the ongoing genocide in Palestine. Meanwhile, Abdur Rahman, a Research Assistant in the department, secured the Best Photographer award with his natural shot titled “Nature’s Embroidery: A Morning Symphony of Beauty and Deception,” depicting pink flowers resting on a spiderweb, artfully resembling spiders and creating a visual illusion.
We are proud to have secured top honors in both categories and wish them continued success in their future endeavors!
