Dr M Tarik Arafat from BME, BUET got the outstanding reviewer award by IOP publishing for the journal Biomedical Materials for 2019. Each year the editorial team of the IOP journals selects a number of outstanding reviewers based on the quality, quantity and timeliness of the reviewer’s reviews.

presented methods to increase the yield of bacterial cellulose. This was part of her undergraduate work and the work was supervised by Dr Tarik Arafat (Professor, BME, BUET).
