Congratulations to our teams “DengueDrops” and “FetoSynth” for winning the Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition 2024

We are thrilled to announce that our teams “DengueDrops” and “FetoSynth” have won the remarkable 2nd prize at the Johns Hopkins Healthcare Design Competition 2024 in two different categories!

“DengueDrops” focuses on developing a smartphone app for IV fluid calculation for hospitalized dengue patients. This project won the 2nd prize in the “Digital Health” category and has been approved for clinical use by DGHS.

Meanwhile, “FetoSynth” has developed a low-cost Nearable device for fetal heart-rate monitoring, winning the 2nd prize in the “Global Health” category.  This innovative solution not only offers a cost-effective alternative to traditional fetal heart rate monitoring devices but also introduces a user-friendly at-home monitoring system that requires minimal expertise.

Congratulations to the members of both teams: Mahian J Kabir(BME’18), Anas Ferdous(BME’18), S.M. Sakeef Sani(BME’19), Sayeed Sajjad Razin(BME’19), Farihin Rahman(BME’19).
