The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME), BUET, successfully hosted the final demonstrations of our third-year capstone design projects. Over the past year, our students worked on real-world med-tech challenges, applying structured innovation approaches with a clear focus on clinical and societal impact. The projects ranged from assistive devices to diagnostic and monitoring solutions, reflecting both technical depth and real-world implications.
We had active participation of industry partners and stakeholders. Their presence ensured meaningful evaluation, direct feedback, and valuable discussion on translation beyond the academic setting.
Special thanks to Mohammad Solaimun Rasel, Iftekhar Hosen, Jakaria Jalal, S.M.Mohiuddin Milton, Fiaz Ahmed, Dr. A B M Toufique Hasan, Dr. Ret. Col. Syed Mahafuzur Rahman, and many others for attending the event and giving us valuable feedback.
Looking forward to further industry-academia collaboration for sustainable product development pathways from our design projects.
