They should take this time to get a feel for the surrounding area, identify where enemy forces will approach and attack from, and possibly set up traps and defenses to help eradicate the assailing forces. Players will face several waves of mercenaries over the three minutes it will take for the transmission to complete, so be geared up for a fight. Once the transmission is finalized, the contract will complete, although the mercenaries will not be immediately eradicated like zombies are in other contract. The moment players begin deploying inhibitors and damaging the spores, zombies and special enemies will spawn and begin to defend the area. Players will need to be prepared to hold the area while waiting for the inhibitors to destroy the protective shell, or run in a coordinated pattern with squadmates – be careful not to lead a train of zombies directly in the path of a teammate! A single inhibitor will t ake a few moments to destroy the shell , but multiple inhibitors can be deployed to decrease the waiting time . If three squadmates are able to simultaneously deploy inhibitors on the same spore, the shell will be destroyed almost immediately, allowing the spore to be completely destroyed in less than five seconds. This is a great strategy in larger teams, as players can quickly move from spore to spore, destroying a spore and eliminating any spawning zomb

Since players will want to be able to quickly eliminate the spores once vulnerable, rapid-firing close-quarters weapons excel when it comes to tackling the Spore Control contract. Due to the number of zombies that spawn to defend the spores, it can be difficult to weave shots through the horde and hit spores from longer distances.
