Ph.D student in BME at Washington University in St Louis

Studying BME in BUET introduced me to the scope that engineers have in having an impact on the medical field nationally, and globally. The curriculum gave me an understanding of the basics of medical imaging instrumentation, and analysis of biosignals for improved diagnosis. My undergraduate thesis was a culmination of these topics. Acquiring research skills in these topics, at such a high quality, allowed me to get accepted into the PhD program in BME at Washington University in St. Louis, where I’m researching on enhancing medical image qualities for analysis. None of this would have been possible without the department of BME – the curriculum and the faculty – laying the foundation for me to advance further in pursuing my research goals.
