Congratulations to Labiba Islam Salsabil (BME’19) and S.M. Sakeef Sani (BME’19), both final year undergraduates at BME-BUET, on receiving the Honda Young Engineer and Scientists’ (Y-E-S) Award 2023 in Bangladesh! This prestigious award, facilitated by the Honda Foundation and JICE, is aimed at nurturing future leaders in the fields of science and technology to drive the advancement of Asian nations.

They have been granted a $3000 scholarship through this program. Furthermore, they are now eligible for an additional grant of up to $10,000 under the Honda Y-E-S Award Plus program. This opportunity can be availed if they pursue further education or training within four years of receiving the initial award. This could include master’s or doctoral programs, study abroad opportunities in Japanese universities, or internships in Japanese research organizations or private companies approved by the Honda Foundation.
