Engineered organ plays a vital role to repair and restore the damaged tissue. At BME, BUET we are working on skin tissue engineering grafts. We are investigating different types of skin tissue scaffolds to repair damaged skin. We also check and investigate the immunogenicity, bioactivity, and biomaterial reaction of tissue-engineered skin following the surgical and decellularization method. Besides the skin graft, we are also developing dental graft based on nano-hydroxyapatite particles. Soon after finishing the preclinical trials, there is plan for clinical trials to evaluate the performance of the engineered graft/tissue.
